Customer Case: Custom Project from a Municipal Road Contractor
In today's era of continuous urban construction upgrades, the quality of road safety facilities directly affects traffic order and public safety. At the beginning of 2025, a municipal road contractor presented us with a clear demand: to provide a batch of high-strength, corrosion-resistant, and suitable for extreme weather conditions for the traffic signal poles for the ongoing urban main road renovation project.
In order to enable customers to have a comprehensive understanding of our production capacity and quality control procedures, we invited them to visit our traffic signal pole manufacturing workshop. The following is the complete process of the project, from demand, production to delivery.
Customer requirements: High standards, high durability, short delivery time
The three core requirements put forward by the client:
The service life is not less than 15 years.
Can withstand strong winds, rain, snow and temperature variations
The surface coating must pass the salt spray test.
Transportation and installation should be safe and convenient.
The client had previously encountered problems with other suppliers, such as delivery delays, uneven welding, and surface paint peeling. Therefore, for this collaboration, they placed particular emphasis on quality and production capacity.
2. Entering the production workshop: Quality starts from every step
When customers enter our production workshop, their first words are:
" I never expected that the production standards for traffic signal poles could be so professional."
Our production process includes:
① Raw material cutting: High-strength carbon steel sheet is selected.
All the steel materials are sourced from reliable sources. They have undergone mechanical tests and material thickness inspections to ensure that they meet the requirements for load-bearing and wind resistance.
② Bending and Forming: Precise Control of Tolerances
The imported bending machine shapes the steel plate, with an error control within ±1mm, ensuring the stability of the signal pole.
③ Automated welding: The weld seams are smooth and firmly attached.
By adopting the dual process of automatic welding and manual re-welding, the weld seams are made uniform, without any voids or incomplete welds.
④ Hot-dip galvanizing and spraying: Dual anti-corrosion treatment
The galvanized layer is uniform and dense, capable of resisting outdoor corrosion for over 10 years. Further electrostatic spraying is carried out to enhance the appearance and durability.
⑤ Assembly and Inspection: Each one can be traced back.
Including verticality tests, spray adhesion tests, load-bearing tests, etc., to ensure that the product meets the engineering-level standards.
After seeing the entire process, the customer was particularly impressed by the inspection standards for the welding area:
"Your testing procedure is much stricter than we had anticipated."
3. Addressing Challenges: Customizing an Enhanced Structure for the Project
The section of the project is located in a windy area, and the client is concerned that ordinary signal poles cannot withstand extreme weather conditions.
We have designed for them:
Strengthened and thickened rod body
Reinforce the flange plate
Strengthening rib structure design
Three-layer anti-corrosion spraying treatment
This not only enhances stability but also maintains ease of installation.
4. Transparency of production progress: Customers can always keep track of the status of their orders.
In order to alleviate customers' anxiety about the delivery time, we have adopted production visualization management:
Take photos or record videos for each batch and send them back.
Weekly progress report
Conduct random inspection and report after completion
The client stated that this was the most transparent supply chain process they had ever worked with.
5. Final outcome: Early delivery, 0 rework rate
Ultimately, we completed the delivery three days ahead of schedule, and all the products were accepted by the customers on-site.
